Alaska R25 Classic for sale $84,900.00

Postby Margaret Lower on Fri Jan 11, 2019 12:58 pm

Low hours on 2007 (507 when we dry docked Chaya in Seward, AK) last September. Interior in excellent shape. Following a lightning storm refrig was replaced two years ago; Wallas stove/cooktop reworked at factory same issue. Upgraded Lowrance HDS9 now in place with latest South Central charts. Engine impeller, zincs, filters, etc all replaced last summer. Asking $84,900. Also available is a $6,000+ West Marine hard-bottom Hypalon dinghy and 6-hp 4-stroke (brand new, never in the water). Our 3/4-ton Dodge diesel that we used to haul boat to Alaska last July is also available. 150,000 miles. $12,500.

Forgot. Yanmar 125 hp engine.....one of the few early RTs with the bigger horsepower. It's been bulletproof.

Wondering if I should pull my R25 to the Seattle area ? Seems there is no interest from Alaska buyers.

I have a 2009 GMC low mileage 3/4 ton gas, which works ok for my 2009 R25 with 23,000 miles. But even with the 6.0 engine it is a bit underpowered. What year is your truck? How many doors or door and a halfs? I've sort of been looking for a Diesel, which pulls better. Alaska is too far; even California is 2000 miles away. If a good price and vehicle is in good enough shape, we might be persuaded to take the train out and drive back. We have relatives in Oregon. It's still a long way. In any event, I need something reliable. Chuck Dykman

hey Chuck:
Sounds like you have a nice truck.
My 17-year-old Dodge Diesel 2500 with extended cab might be a step up for you.
However, before you make a leap forward, be sure the trailer you have is properly balanced loadwise and that it has adequate brakes.
My truck cannot be sold until the boat sells. Things are still a little frozen up in Alaska.
Hope this gets you the info you asked for.
