2018 R31 Lounge Seating

Postby Marnis on Fri Aug 10, 2018 9:43 am

Can someone explain the following "Lounge seating, dinette converts to lounge for reading". This is written in the PDF spec sheet on the Ranger Tug site for the RT 31 CB. How or what converts to turn the dinette into a lounge? Thanks

Looking at the RT31CB interior photos, you have a sitting area in the cabin with a table and bench seats that can accomodate 5 (?) people (looks like 3 and 2 on either side of the table) on the port side of the cabin.

The table has an adjustment that lets it drop down. You should have a big cushion that fits on top of the table which fits between the two padded seats connecting the entire surface and turning it into a big "lounge".

On our Cutwater, we switched to "lounge" mode a year or two ago and haven't changed back to "dinette" mode since.

Hello Marnis,

The dinette table on the R31 will lower and become either a third sleeping area, or a 'lounge seat'. There are two cushions provided with the boat, one for the bed, and the other for the lounge. They both sit on top of the table, the bed cushion will cover the entire table, whereas the lounge cushion will cover the outboard part of the table only. The seat back for the lounge seat is also adjustable to two different positions.

Hope this helps,
