This is the new official discussion thread for the Pacific Northwest 2011 Ranger Rendezvous. The planning committee will post all future updates here. Please post your questions and comments here, as well.

Please use 2011 PNW Rendezvous and Tug Fest 2011-Sept 9th, 10th, 11th for reference only.

Thanks.

Please add the "Circle T" to the list of attendees.

We're a Ranger Tug 29 normally based in Los Angeles, but spending the 2011 cruising season in the PNW with a home base in Cap Sante Boat Haven, Anacortes. We (Tym and June) will be there early in the Circle T, and probably with company. We'll get back to you later on this site with a date and exact number of people, but for now please add us to your list.

We are really looking forward to this event and thank everyone who is working so hard to put this together !!

Tym & June - you and your Ranger 29 have been added to the list of boats attending the PNW 2011 Ranger Rendezvous. That makes 33 boats attending!

Thanks Bruce for helping us avoid confusion and creating just one forum for this great event. So what are you waiting for? Let me know if you're thinking of joining us for this 3rd annual event. As a reminder to new forum members, here are the particulars:

September 9, 10, 11, 2011 at the Bremerton Marina. Many boaters will be arriving on Thursday September 8, so we'll be working on a program for Friday as well as Saturday. To date these are some of the events planned.

- Friday night "Parrot Head Party" complete with live entertainment and Bob's Margarita Machine
- Saturday seminars with MER, Garmin, and other manufacturing reps
- Saturday night BBQ with factory door prizes
- 2nd Annual Veggie Race
- LOTS of opportunities for informal "Ranger" and other just "boat talk"
- Cruising destinations discussions - formal and informal
- Cooking in a small galley

- AND let me know what else you'd like to see at a Ranger Rendezvous

Also, all of you new Cutwater boat owners - come join the fun!

Laurie

I've added Jeff and Laurie from Dutch Treat to the list . . now we have 34 boats attending September 9-11, 2011.

Who else would like to join the fun?

Nita and I just got our computer back on line so I thought I might remind all that if you want to stay at the Hampton Inn please let me know so I can reserve rooms, hopefully with a discount. So far I have two who have asked for rooms.

Thanks Willie and Herb for agreeing to help with the Rendezvous. See you on June 4th for the next committee meeting.

Who else wants to come to the 3rd Annual PNW Ranger Rendezvous? We have 34 boats and are hoping for as many as last year!

Laurie

34 boats? That's it???? (no Gail and Patrick, I am not referring you.....) Come on, how do we get this number to 50???? The rendezvous have been great fun in the past! John and Laurie as well as the rest of the folks that have volunteered to help are working to make this rendezvous the best ever!

Let's fill the Bremerton Marina with Ranger Tugs to show the city of Bremerton what can be done!

Since Karma will be back in the PNW, we will be attending the Rendezvous. I will arrive on Wednesday with Karma, Maureen will either come in Thursday night or Friday.

Okay, that takes it to 35! We only need 15 more to make it an even 50!

Great! So glad that Karma will be there . . . that makes it 35 boats!

Don't wait to the last minute to tell us you're coming. We've got lots of fun things planned!

Laurie

We are getting our R25SC on Wednesday next and will be joining you in Bremerton from Salt Spring Island where there seems to be a high per capita concentration of Rangers!

We look forward to meeting you. Will the organizers be arranging dock space?

Glad you're joining us and now that makes 36 boats. We have reserved ALL of the guest moorage at Bremerton Marina for this occasion. All you need to do is let me know when you'll be arriving (approximate) and we'll let you know where to dock on the day you arrive. Each boater is responsible for their own moorage fee and what that will be exactly will be included in upcoming details as we get closer to September.

It does seem like Salt Spring Island has its own cluster of Ranger tugs!

Laurie

The Rendezvous is set for Sept 9, 10 and 11th and I only have been asked to make reservations for 3 rooms for members and 7 for Ranger Tugs. I am going to reserve 15 rooms total and those not reserved will be canceled so if you want a room please let me know as soon as possible and for how many nights. You will have contact Hampton Inn to confirm and make payment arrangements (360) 405-0200. I will try to arrange a discount.

Add Rich and Shirley Rutkowski on "Island Ranger 29" to the rendezvous in Bremerton. We look forward to re-acquainting with everyone, and meeting new friends!

Is there a list of people/boats that have currently signed up for this event? I'm sure I've responded in another post (now closed) that LAXEY will be attending. Thanks... it will be for a busy week and a half as we will be returning from an extended family gathering at Roche Harbor over the Labor Day weekend and me and 1st mate having been retired for barely a month. 😀

Just purchased a 2012 Ranger 21 and will pick it up in Kent next week. Mike & Lorrie of Tug-4-Two will be at the Rendezvous and will arrive on the 8th. Can't wait to meet all of you and see your boats.

Hey -- Mike & Lorrie, welcome aboard... you will find the Bremerton GTG great fun, you learn lots about the boats, meet friendly mates and chat with the Ranger Tug people -- and they have some unique clothing items to strut around in. 😀

Thanks for the welcome. We are looking forward to it.

Island Ranger 29 and Tug-4-Two makes a total of 40 boats coming to the PNW Ranger Rendezvous!! Can we get a few more? Don't delay . . . . and miss out on all the fun.

Laxey - Your are definitely on the list of attendees already.

I will post an updated list of who's told me they're coming next week after our next committee meeting on Saturday. If you have ideas, opinions, or just want to put in your "two-cents", let me know.

Laurie

Joe and Teri on Poco Allegro will be there. See ya all there

Joe and Teri of Poco Allegro (love the musical terms), I have you on the list and that makes 41 boats so far and we still have three plus months to go!

More details coming SOON!

Laurie

I have contacted Hampton Inn in Bremerton. They have reserved 15 rooms and are offering us a discount of $30.00 a night, this is a 20% discount from their normal rate of $139.00 (our price is $109.00 a night). I so far have reservations for 10 rooms so if you are coming let me know as soon as possible. The reservations are for Friday and Saturday nights only. I ask you to contact Hampton Inn directly to give your name and make payment arrangements. Contact Matthew (the General Manager) at (360) 405-0200.
