The cleanliness of the mouse fur in my 2008 R25 Classic has always been a sore point - it gets blackish from what I guess is diesel smoke and does not clean off. The worst parts have been the bulkhead in the V-birth. We just replaced the 2 piece starboard backing with wood and purchased new mouse fur to cover it. Now the panels go in and out without too much difficulty and there isn't an unsightly seam in the middle of the panels as before. Here's the details on the mouse fur that is a perfect match to the original:
