Holding tank has been emptied. Good smell has been added....🙂) Flush the toilet and TERRIBLE smell throughout the cabin and surrounding area. lasts for several seconds and then clears...until next flush.

Sounds like you still have some odor in your tank. Try flushing the tank. While you're at it, add some borax and calgon water softener to the holding tank and let it sit for a couple of days with water in tank. The borox will clean and the water softener (not fabric softener) will help break up the solids.

I use Odorlos and it works great. It could be your intake line. I recently had a major issue with this. You can test this by smelling directly above the bowl after flushing. If so, do a vinegar and water flush (I just filled my stainer a few times). It worked great for me.

we find that using the toilet regularly ends the smell. Leave the boat for a week, the smell returns on salt water toilets.

You may also want to consider a vent line filter. This one is often mentioned on Tugnuts: https://seadogboatingsolutions.com/big- ... ducts.html

I had a similar issue even when using Odorloss in the past (without a filter). Since I installed a filter, I haven't had a recurrence.

We're a saltwater flush boat. We use Forget About It TankTechs RX and it works great, even after long periods off the boat. Multiplying probiotic microbes remove odor and liquify sludge and keep working as long as there is water in the tank. Free of formaldehyde and unscented.

I can +1 Odorlos. However, I do not recommend the version with dissolving packs -- they are sensitive to moisture and tend to break in shipping. The plastic wrapped packs have been more reliable.
