C26 no potable cold water from faucets

Hi folks,
I'm a new owner of a lightly used 2015 Cutwater 26. I'm trying to figure out why the cold water side of both the galley faucet and restroom shower/sink faucet deliver no water. I don't recall cold water ever working since I took delivery. Hot water works well with plenty of pressure at both faucets, however placing either faucet to all cold results in no water exiting the faucet and the potable water pump does not engage. I've seen no evidence of a leak. How best to begin troubleshooting this? Thanks

Easiest to check, but unlikely, is a blockage at both cold water spigots. Having said that, there is a chance that debris from installation is the culprit.
Does your fresh water washdown work? Hot and cold?
If the easy check doesn't solve the problem, you need to start breaking water lines.
Since the pump works for hot water, the feed to that is good as the pump provides pressure to the whole system.
The problem must be a blockage somewhere in the cold water feed after the water pump.

No fresh water washdown on this C26 I'm aware of, only a raw water washdown on the transom.

Is my best starting point to remove the forward wall in the cave and check around the tank/pump as shown in this pic?
Is the split point in the waterline where the hot water branches off accessible? I appreciate the input.

I can't help beyond the generalities I mentioned. I've got an R27.

The photo posted is one that I posted in my album. The water tank and pump are located in this area. The cold water side to the head and galley and hot water heater tee off in this area. There should be cold water flow to the faucets is at this point. The plumbing layout of my C26 I can think of no way that the cold water could be blocked off unless disconnected at the tees or the previous owner installed block valves for some reason. The fact the the hot water heater is getting water and nothing else would make me think the disconnect is done in the area of the photo posted. You can get at the hot water connections in the starboard side cockpit locker. I would suggest the faucet valve has failed but it is unlikely that both failed. The best way to trace the water system would be to pull the monkey fur panels in the cave. All the water lines can be accessed when doing this.

Just wondering yes its the hot water, but is it actually hot ? I've seen where boats have been winterized and the lines may have been swapped and rerouted to be able to drain the hot water heater and not having to put in the antifreeze.

and if this has happened be careful not to run the electric heater if there is no water in the tank.

Yes the hot water exiting both faucets heats up as expected. A HOT shower is the only option currently 😀

This is where the hot water heater unit is mounted correct? Everything there looks as expected.

Mystery solved. The braided steel water line which connects the faucet to the pex water lines have filter screens in them. I carefully pulled the screen out, cleaned all that slime off and the cold water pressure returned. yay!

That's just nasty looking!
Have you thought about running a few thousand ( haha) gallons of water through the system to clean the rest of the crud out?
