Please contact me if you are interested in viewing several pictures of my Ranger 21.

Thanks

Price reduced to $21,000. boat is in great condition with only 425 hours.

Based upon feedback from two viewers I have added several pictures to the Photo Album of the Pilot seat in the down and unfolded position. Two people can comfortable sit on the Pilot seat.

Also, I have posted pictures of the rigged sun shade. The sun shade was an option and it is fitted onto the mast-boom. I've only used it 2 or 3 times at anchor. I always run with the mast-boom up except when we are fishing. When fishing I run with the 360 degree light that mounts on the top of the Pilot House.

Just a heads-up for potential buyers based on our own frustrating experience. Lenders not familiar with the realities of the marketplace are likely to give you a hard time if you apply for a used boat loan. Our 2003 R21 was valued by the bank at...get this...$14K according to the loan underwriter, based on the top line of the blue book with no accessories counted. My first response..."You DO realize that includes an ENGINE?" We were finally able to prevail and qualify, but only after submitting dozens of listings for similar boats and considerable work with our bank agent. Even at that the interest rate was somewhat higher than we were really happy with. Lesson here is do plenty of research before making that down payment. Even with a good credit score (and ours was pretty darned good) the lenders are making it very hard to qualify. All that having been said, I hope that someone who knows more about real value than some bean-counter banker is able to snap up this buy.

Lots on the C-Brats site about this too. The C-Dorys have the same problem...

Could you please fill me in on some more info on the engine.

Thanks,
Weebs

Sorry for the delay in responding-we have been away for two weeks.

The engine is a Yanmar GM 30(F)(C) 27 hp with 447 hours. It is the original engine in my 1995 R-21. Beyond normal maintenance (i.e. belts, filters, batteries, oil, coolant, impeller, etc.) the only repairs made have been a new solenoid and starter relay and a exhaust elbow and hose. For oil I use Shell Rotela 30 SAE and for coolant Yanmar Ultralife YG30.

In addition, I have replaced the water strainer, bilge pump, and fuel tank. The engine sounds great, runs strong and is reliable.

I believe it has a new owner .

I only say this because I am sure that Mr. Varley's tug sold already.
