We'd love to have you! We might actually take a day trip up to Tacoma on 3/14, maybe we'll see your new boat at the factory dock!Hi - I have a sea trial next week and delivery mid-March on a R-29 CB and will base out of Tacoma. Would this crew be willing to tolerate a novice tag along for this trip? Feel free to call me, Bo, 415-599-6283 if real time talk is better than forum chat.
That's really too bad. If things change, come on back! If not, maybe next time? You will be missed.Kevin et al.
Unfortunately we have had a schedule conflict arise which will not allow us to join this flotilla. I am bummed because it sounded like fun and Tides is a favorite. Hopefully we can join up for some other adventure. We are free most of April, if you happen to be heading out with a destination in mind drop me a note.

American Flyer
There's also @H50G assuming their boat got delivered on time 🙂The Tides is fine with us. I did speak to a couple of dock neighbors and while they were excited for the trip, scheduling conflicts prohibited them from joining. There may be another trawler joining us from Zittles but they are not an FM product. (Makes no difference to me, we need more boats!). AFAIK, without American Flyer, it's just us two boats? We will have another couple with us who are a lot of fun.
Thanks Chris, we too were thinking about going to the SEA DAY. Maybe we will see you there. I'll wear my Ranger Tug cap! 😀I'm also going to the OYC SEA Day on 4/25 and will mention the trip there as well.
OK, we take delivery on the R29 this weekend and have training 4/27 and 4/28. The boat will be at the factory dock in Tacoma, so if the GH gathering is still happening on 5/2, we will head there as the first outing. (Put your bumpers out!)Awesome
Awesome! Glad to have you! We're relly looking forward to meeting other local boaters!OK, we take delivery on the R29 this weekend and have training 4/27 and 4/28. Chris Morgan has done a great job on the organization. Here is the link to the info. https://docs.google.com/document/d/1sPJ-8FqTKXWWKGLwc_D9vR8q8mreOyfXwM1gtO-oTn0/edit?tab=t.0 Hope to see you there! What time is the reservation at Tides? (and is there still time to sign up?). I have a commitment on Sat morning/early afternoon, but could come after. We're new C-30 owners (actually we're closing in 3 days!!!), and would like to meet other south sound owners. Boat is based in GH, so we could walk over to the Tides!
OverTime can leave early but we have never taken a boat in to Gig Harbor so we were hoping to be in the middle of the pack.An update on logistics. Tides Tavern doesn't take reservations, but said there's normally a lull around 2:15pm on a Saturday, but we might have to wait for a little bit. The count I currently have is:
Aweigh Message: 2
OverTime: 4
H50G: 2
Bravo: 2
ucarrasquilla: 2
For a total of 12. So for the two boats that live in Gig Harbor, maybe you all could head over a little bit ahead of us (our target is 2pm, but we can update the ETA once en route from Zittels) and put our names on the list?
Fingers crossed for decent weather!
We're one of the GH boats, at Peninsula Yacht Basin. We'll try to get out of our earlier gig as early as we can, but possibly won't be able to get to the Tides early enough to snag the tables. Who is the other GH boat? Which marina are you in? Cheers! An update on logistics.
