autopilot installation

Currently in work. Remove the forward panel directly below the helm on the v berth side. Most access gained there. Remove fridge to get to the NMEA 2000 backbone and to aid in fishing the cables, hoses, wires through. You'll need a fish tape, a helper ( a friend specializing in Avionics helps!), about 20-25 man hours and a lot of paitience. If you're not REALLY comfortable with in depth installations, I wouldn't recommend this.
UPDATE: Autopilot installed and functional. Total man hours involved was about 35. Looking back, the actual mounting components and hooking them up is straight forward, access is the clincher. I ran the new hydraulic lines by getting a union and screwing the new hoses to the old and pulling them through with the exception of the third hose. That I taped the fish tape to a new hose, pulled it through and then taped the third hose to the tape and pulled it through the other way. Dock wizard and sea trial wizard is a wiz, functions as it should. Highly recommended! Of all the boats I've had with all the different options, I can easily say autopilot is my favorite.
