Stored axle doesn't interfere with throwable.

Same SS shaft and fittings were used to brace patio railing where dinghy outboard is stored. End caps were welded on shaft ends.
This end cap is not JB Welded on the shaft.
Spool "axle" mounted using off-the-shelf fittings. This end cap is JB Welded on shaft.
Homemade flange/adapter JB Welded on plastic spool.
Shore tie spool mounted on "patio railing."
