Puget Sound area Dry Storage for R29S

Hello -

We just got our new, 2023 R29S about a month ago. We are living this summer in Seattle to learn the boat (and have fun with it) but we permanently live in land locked Steamboat Springs, Colorado, and will be returning there in mid-Sept without the ability to get back to our boat until next summer.

Since it will be unused, dry storage seems to be the best. And since we are only in the area for bits of time, we might leave it in dry storage for a while (one where they will put it in the water when we want to use it).

We are looking at Waypoint Marine near the Ballard Locks and at Dagmar's Marina and even perhaps at Pacific Marine Center in Anacortes. But we are open to lots of things.

Does anyone have recommendations for dry storage in the puget sound area? Have you or friends had good experiences to share (or bad experiences to warn us about)?

I have been storing a boat at Twin Bridges for over 17 years. It is close to Cap Santa in Anacortes but has a Mt. Vernon address. I like it because they also have outdoor bunks to work on your boat, Tom & Jerry’s Marine is next to the storage for any mechanical work you need done without having to take your boat to another location. It is just as you enter the Swinomish Channel and has both a launch and retrieval dock. Has power on both docks with water and a pump out station on the launch dock. If you plan on going out multiple days you can dock on the outside of either dock and they will not pull your boat. It also has heated storage thus it is great for winter storage.

Once you get over the min size, it really starts to get expensive, especially in height....

We have been with Dagmars in Everett for years, with numerous boats. We love them!

Pros: Stored out of the water (obviously), so no marine buildup and easy to service/clean
Awesome personnel. They really seem to care about our boats. Great care is always taken when being moved.
Easy in/out. Even on holiday weekends, we've never waited more than about 10 minutes.
Fuel service. Call to have them add/fill fuel at any time. Best price in the area (I always check around) for non-eth.
24/7 access to marina. Just call security after hours and they'll let you in. I think there's 3 holidays per year that it's truly closed... but don't quote me on that.

Cons: No cover unless you tarp/canvass your boat. My last boat (not an RT) was a blue hull that was on an aisle end. Tons of direct sun. It was a challenge to keep the gelcoat looking fresh on her starboard with all the UV exposure. However, that could have been attributed to a less-than-stellar quality gelcoat. My RT is ceramic coated thanks to Kevin at Premier Custom Coatings, and for 3.5 years now, it's the best looking boat in the marina!
Dirt/dust buildup if not covered. There is a large dirt/sawdust/etc. barge-loading company right next door, and if the wind is just right, you'll have to spray her down before each outing.
4-hour window of non-launch during negative tides. They stop launching/retrieving for approx 2 hours on either side of a negative tide. That affects us (regular launchers) a couple times per month. Easy to plan for, however.

I'm sure I'm missing something... but that's my 2 cents 😀

Update to my dry storage question for our 2023 RT 29S
We are going with North Harbor Diesel in Anacortes. Our boat will be outside on blocks, winterzed.
Generalities we found:

inside storage is all full with long waiting lists.
Under 30' is easier to find storage

Here's the complete list of facilities that I complied and my notes
Twin Bridges in Anacortes - Very Very Very full. 4 year + waiting list although they want to build a second facility, but they are just getting the approvals in place now.
Foss Marina in Tacoma - Inside, concierge storage. We thought we had it iall set here until they found out that the Ranger Tug 29S has an inboard. They don't take inboards anymore because they don't have the right way to store them without potential damage. This was a bummer
Bayside in Everett - LOA 30' or shorter (we are LOA33')
Skyline Marina in Anacortes - I didn't call them
Dagmars Marina in Everett - Full and wait list even for outside storage
Waypoint Marine Group Seattle (just inside locks) - Usually take smaller boats. The issue is the total weight of the boat, their lift capacity is 13,500 lbs. Our boat is 10,500 lbs empty.
Pacific Marine Center in Anacortes - has room for outside storate. Looks good. Was on vacation and we couldn't reach him.
North Harbor Diesel in Anacortes - our choice.$280/mo+ electrcity usage, $525 for first haulout (includes oressure washing, blocking, and last put back). $85 each haul out or put back in addition.
Banana Boats in Anacortes - didn't contact
LaConner Marina in LaCannor - didn't contact
Anacortes Marine Group (AMG) in Anacortes
Tacoma Yacht Club in Tacoma - Not ready to join a yacht club
Cap Sante Marina in Anacortes - could not find dry sstorage here

I just signed up with Anacortes Marine Group.
$247.50/mo for my 2013 R29
$264 for haul and pressure wash
$210 to block and set.
