Anyone missing a dingy?
One was found in Desolation Sound.
Washington registration.. Looks to be a Fluid Motion dingy.

So shouldn't they be looking for the guy that was driving it ?????

What kind of a smart off color comment is that. A Guy is trying to help out and get a dinging back to his owner and you have to call to make a comment like that. I didn’t think that was what this website was about.

I kind of thought that after first reading the reply too. But to give the post the benefit of the doubt, perhaps he is honestly concerned about the welfare and location of whoever may have been in the boat? Just a thought, I’d rather think positive.

With registration number it should not be too difficult to figure out the owner!
I’m just thinking of some old sailor trying to figure out where he tied his dingy! Kinda like looking for your car at Walmart parking lot. I have walked up and down the wrong dock looking for my boat, usually after too many drinks!

A friend of mine who found the tender was gracious enough to tow it 20 miles into Refuge cove and contact the administrator of this sight of its whereabouts so hopefully the rightful owners could get his or her tender back. I know I would be awfully upset if mine was to go missing. One of the best things about being on the water is the wonderful people we meet and how we’re all more than willing to help one other out.

PSA, the US coast guard spends a huge amount of resources looking for folks from floating craft, mostly SUPs and kayaks, but dinghy’s too. Particularly on unregistered craft put your name and phone on it so they know it it fell off your boat or YOU fell off and need help.
