Hi everyone! Totally new to Tugnuts!
I don't have a boat yet, but im looking at a 2012 R29 that needs an engine or a rebuild. But by the pictures, I cannot tell how to get the engine out, it's about 1/3 under the cabin door and 2/3 in the engine hatch. I imagine it needs to slide back towards the stern then it can come up.
I've searched and searched online with no avail. Are there any write-ups or factory information on how they pull them?
I'm an experienced diesel truck mechanic so the work doesn't scare me, I just can't see how to do it..
Thanks for the help!

There are some threads about replacing the 6by-260 so you'll need to search and maybe you'll find a thread where an owner talks about the re-power or rebuild. That person might be able to put you fill you in on the process. Does't the engine have two lifting points on top of the engine for to screw in a lifting eye bolt?

Thank you! I didn't even think of searching by the engine type, I will do that now!
I believe it does, but it looks like one isn't accessible since it's in.

Not sure which engine you have. I removed a 4 cylinder diesel from a 2009. first you remove transmission. then remove the lag bolts for the engine mounts. After removing the obvious and various lines, wires, linkages etc, you slide the engine toward the rear thus clearing that pesky threshold.

Niels, thank you!
This is exactly the information I was looking for, that's what it looked like but I'd much rather ask. Seems silly to have to slide it back, but I guess thats better than having a removable threshold to leak...
