Mantus Anchor Guard

I recently purchased a Mantus Anchor Guard for my new R31-CB to accommodate a Rocna 15 anchor, but I’m having trouble installing it. When I tighten it enough to hold the anchor guard in place, the bow roller wheel binds and won’t turn. I think quite a few owners have made this change. Can any of you tell me how you solved this in your installation? Thanks much.

I recently installed a Mantus anchor guard for my R27OB to accommodate a Vulcan 12. I had to buy a longer bolt, as the bolt that came from Mantus was too short to fit properly.

I did too. I also ended up cutting a length of tubing to go through the hole in the center of the wheel (which I had to drill out a bit). I cut the tube 1/8” longer than the wheel so that when the sides of the bow roller were tightened down they clamped against the ends of the tube rather than the ends of the wheel, leaving the wheel free to spin. Now it works great.
