Looking for some guidance as I have an oil leak from what I believe is the Turbo Return Line (to block). I have replaced the HP Turbo Oil Line and the Oil Pressure Sensor Line and still have some oil leaking. Question: Where does the Oil Return Line enter the block? I think it is a failed #7 90 deg rubber hose as this is a low-pressure oil line from what I understand. Any guidance and/or input would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance........

Question... What is your oil pressure on a cold start. My 4BY2-180 on cold start reads off the gauge about 150 PSI, for first couple of minutes, then drops in to normal range during operation. I think it might be stuck sender or electrical malfunction. I don't see any oil leaks so think it might just be a gleich in the circuit, as it seems accurate during operation. Sorry I can't tell you where that enters the block, but thanks for the drawing.

Yeah, with the 5W-40 oil, the viscus is pretty high at start. Mine is up there too. But in a few minutes, it is down to normal. I have heard that the oil pressure sensor has issues IF the ground isn’t solid. For me it is eliminating the oil leak of 1Q per 3-4 hours

Lay something under the engine and add some guide marks to it with a sharpie. See where the oil spots collect. I did the same and found that a starboard side drain plug was loose and dribbling - but not nearly that much!

To find an oil leak I always clean the area first using brake clean (use in a well ventilated area and allow to dry evaporate this stuff is highly flammable but very good at cleaning oil grease) then look for the leak. Remember oil runs down hill so check above where you think it is leaking use clean white towel. Don't forget to put mats down to collect any drainage from the cleaning and use disposable gloves.
