My port windshield wiper made some bad clicking noises and started jerking about half way through it's motion from the parked position and stopped there, after just powering it. I manually assisted it back to the park position and now it doesn't respond. Does anyone have any experience with this? Replacement procedure or remove and inspect? I removed the teak cover and see that the wiper motor is a contained unit and am not sure how to remove to diagnose. Thanks in advance! Adam

Yes. I have had a similar situation. If you pull the cover off the Wiper box There is linkage inside that can be adjusted for how far the wiper travels and the park position. In my case that had come loose, the motor was fine I just needed to re-tighten everything in the correct position. It is likely that your boat has the same wiper motor setup as our 2021 C30.

Thank you for this. Unfortunately it looks like mine is different. There is one screw holding the wiper box on from the inside and it looks like I will need to remove the wiper and nut from the outside to get it out. I don't think mine is serviceable.

Does your wiper motor cover look like this?

This is the replacement one I ordered for a spare, hope this helps. BobIMG_4622.png

Yep, that's the one!
It's a Marinco AFI 1000 wiper motor. We have a '21 R27OB and I took the starboard motor apart in order to change the sweep direction of the wiper. We like it much better when the wipers both sweep from the center outwards.

Anyway, here is a look at the works inside:

Just a motor spinning a worm drive. The hardest part of getting the unit out was taking the wiper arm off the shaft; it's held on with a hex set-screw that doesn't have much room to access.

Thank you, this is the info I needed. Now I know to look for a set screw!
