Fluid Motion Model
R-43 CB
I have a 43" Command bridge Ranger, and I want to stock the anodes in use for this boat. does anyone have a list of part numbers, and where to obtain them?

Thanks

From the parts app:

2 3 3/4” ZNC CMR03 (trim tabs)
ZHC-5S Slotted Zinc Anode (transom)
Check your generator manual to see if it requires a pencil zinc.

Look at the Fluid Motion parts app sheet:

We buy from https://boatzincs.com/.

Here is what I put on my R43. Ordered from Boatzincs.com
The ACP anode seems to wear very little so probably won't need to replace that one

You will also want to replace your generator pencil zinc. I made a video about that procedure

Also, if you're interested, this is a video on the 250 hour maintenance for the generator

Keep in mind, if you have a 2026 R-43 with the Seakeeper Ride, the anodes for the trim tabs may be different. I don’t know which ones exactly they are yet, but I am going to find out. The 2026 models also come with a Galvanic Isolator, but I don’t think that changes the anodes by itself.

Volvo recommends cast iron on the pods.

Gary, The anodes I've put on the drive unit pods are zinc and they do seem to wear quickly but I've not heard of cast iron anodes. I've done a google search for these but no luck, where have you gotten yours?

My diver got them. I’ll ask him.

I asked Tim Bates about this and I've attached his response below. I'm excited to try these as the ones made of zinc seem to wear quickly.

BTW, Boatzincs.com does not carry them but Northwest diesel power has them (and probably other Volvo authorized dealers and service centers).

Thanks Gary for bringing this to our attention

Good morning Bob, the IPS drive anodes are actually a Volvo branded part with a Volvo part number 3593981. The anodes are made from cast iron (odd) but Volvo is pretty adamant about sticking with these anodes for the drives. I’ve attached a link to the one’s they recommend:

So, I picked up the Volvo branded anode from our Volvo service center this morning.

It has the same part number (3593881 stamped on it) as the after market zinc anodes. The appearance is different. The Volvo OEM iron anode has a rippled dull surface whereas the aftermarket anode (made of zinc) is smooth and shiny.
