Main engine hydraulic hatch strut bad. 2010 R29.

Anyone find or modify main engine hatch hydraulic strut? Can’t find one any help appreciated.

Thanks for the reply Bob, my mechanic said it’s hydronic. I’ll double check tho. Ranger customer service said 2010 was the time they started the change.

We have a 2014 29 and ours is hydraulic. It uses the same pump and reservoir as the trim tabs. The part that fishheadbarandgr linked looks like it could work. You would just need to do some rewiring and capping of your hydraulic system and hatch controls. Electronic might even be the better way to go. If you are uncomfortable working on your hydraulic system, I would really encourage you to hire that out. Hydraulics can be very dangerous if you get an imperfect seal.
