Has anyone changed or removed their kitchen faucet because it was clogged?
Thanks for your reply. How did you disconnect the flexible hose? The handle comes off easily but the other end seems like it’s under and behind the sink, not easy to get to.I think the kitchen faucets are notorious for clogging. When we bought ours used it was just a trickle coming through. The clog was in the flexible hose line between the check valve (which I removed) and the faucet handle. With both ends of the hose disconnected I used lightly pressurized air, about 40#, and blew the hose out and no problems since then.
Thx for your reply, how did you get the old faucet out? Its so difficult to get to behind the sink and the collar screw seems corroded.Just replaced 2011 OEM with similar Ambassador 133-012-CP. Very straightforward; simplified hand-tightened collar mount; usual screen (at end of flex hose) and check valve (at entrance to wand) which can be simply removed for increased flow if desired.

Yea, it was awkward and difficult to get to. A good light, under sink cabinet cleaned out, sit on the floor and doing it mostly by feel after looking at it and taking photos with my phone because you can't really get your head and arm in there at the same time. I did fight it for a while before finally getting it.Thanks for your reply. How did you disconnect the flexible hose? You would have to do it anyway to replace the hose, so take deep breaths and push through.
There was a Phillips head screw that needs to be loosened, then it comes apart by hand.Did you remove it by hand or did you need tools?
