Hey Everyone,

Just a quick post to say hi. I just finished driving my new-to-me R-29S from Washington State to her new home in Sitka Ak.

I've owned smaller outboards before but this is my first real "yacht" if you will. Don't have anything specific to say in this thread other than hi, and you'll be seeing me around with lots of new owner questions!

See you around,

Nate

Welcome. When you say driving do you mean by road or by sea?

Very nice. Must have been a beautiful trip. I hope you have a wonderful summer.

You certainly live in a great place to make good use of the boat. IMO the 29 is the sweet spot in Ranger's lineup. Big enough to take you anywhere you want to go without breaking the bank. In a situation like yours living so close to the water I'd go that route too.

Great to hear that you made that trip. We have 25 hours on our new 2026 R29S and would love to make the trip to Sitka and points north next year. I may have questions for you down the road.

Thanks! Yea I agree with you. I bought the 29 because the 31 was too big, and the 27 too small 🙂. Very scientific, I know.

Congrats on the new boat! I would highly recommend the trip. Sitka is a very special place. Happy to answer any questions you have.

When are you you heading South.? We are in Hyder Alaska wih our R27 at the head of the Portland Canal. Been hear 46 years every summer. It's special as is all of Southeast. Clear customs in Prince Rupert and come visit Stewart BC. Real glaciers and small towns. Bye for now. Dan and Janice Lang
