How to access to anchor windlass foot pedals on a 2023 Ranger Tug R-23 ?

I need to access the foot pedal wire connection as I cannot energize the anchor windlass to work from the Helm Station or the foot pedals. I checked all of the battery connections and fuses. The 25 Amp lever switch in the Starboard head compartment keeps tripping. Sometimes in clicks, sometimes not. I keep resetting the switch. I want to access the wire connections underneath of the foot switches. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

If I understand you question you just want to inspect the wire connections at the foot switches themselves. If you look under the starboard bow hatch you should be able to stick your head under there and see them. Or three screws on the switch plates will allow you to pull them out but only a short distance as the wires are short.

If you have a Lewmar Pro Sport winless there is a good chance you have water intrusion into the unit. They have a bad reputation for getting water in both the gear side and motor side and locking up which kicks the breaker. l have had it happen to both side on mine.

I have a 2025 ranger tug 25le and the winch stopped working. When I tried to lower the anchor I had the same symptoms as you. I took off the side cover on the winch motor, tapped the solenoid with a rubber mallet and it now works fine. As another poster said it was corrosion from water intrusion. I talked to my dealer and he confirmed its a common problem.
