Final Approach changing boat

After 6 years of amazing cruising in our wonderful Cutwater CB30, we will be joining the Ranger Tug side of fluid motion. We are currently having our next boat built. We chose a beautiful blue hull R25, her name will be Final Approach as well. While most people go up in size, we chose to downsize. Now that we are retired and traveling more, wanted a boat more suited to being parked at home in the shop, rather than pay the ever rising cost of moorage. We will take delivery sometime in September, however probably after the rendezvous (bummer). The new boat will be well equipped with Sea Keeper ride, AIS800, Wallace stove/heater, and the 9.9 kicker. I'm thinking of adding an additional solar panel and a Takacat.

I think that you were across the finger from us at Roche 2024. Was it the beautiful Skipperjon that won you over?

Sound reasoning in your plan. It's a lot easier to reconcile a smaller boat sitting on a trailer in the driveway when not in use. Purely for on the water my ideal boat would be a 34ft Nordic Tug. But with a short boating season, traveling, and living a couple of hours from the closest moorage it was a non-starter. The ability to trailer a boat that is comfortable enough for extended cruising is awesome.

We travel 3 hrs to get to our boat at a dock and than back. But we try to stay during the week, especially since it is quiet.
Yes, we are retired and have that flexibility. We do have a trailer but only have it hauled to our inside heated storage for the winter.
I agree sitting her in the driveway is not good.
