Getting ready for a trip and plan on using the stove to cook. Burners seem very small. Do ordinary pans, pots from home work? What size pans work best..8in,10in, 12in? Or should I get smaller camping size pans? Thanks in advance

You don't mention if your stove is electric or gas. Either way the pots from home will work, but they will be a pain to store. Lots easier to have a set of cookware with detachable handles. Get something with a decent base that distributes the heat and you're good. I bought this inexpensive set and it works very well for us: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0DHKR9XCP?ref_=ppx_hzsearch_conn_dt_b_fed_asin_title_5&th=1

They stay on the boat, you don't have to worry about forgetting something at home.

I also have an electric grill I use in the cockpit. Keeps smoke out of the cabin.

We have a 2023 R27 and use a nesting set of non/stick pots & pans. The big pan is 10” and fits on the stove. We do only use one pot at a time.

We also use an Omnia Stove Top Oven. Channel Surfing’s videos were super helpful!

LaZina has all the items she uses in the gallery listed on our Amazon Affiliate, pots, pans, storage containers, etc...
As an amazon affiliate site, we do make a small commission, but you don't pay anything extra.

The main reason we maintain the site is it provides an easy resource for other boaters in the community to see what we use and buy what they need.

Galley Items we use

Huge kudos to Channel Surfing! They both provide a great resource. Thanks a boat ton!

I think Martin is recommending the nesting Magma pots. We have the same on our RT31 and love them. Thick heavy stainless. The galley storage on these boats is limited, so the nesting aspect is super efficient. I think the only other thing we have is a cast iron frying pan. That's all we have needed.

I'll second/third/4th? LaZina's pan selection we recently added the 8.5" grill pan (with a lid) to our set. All our pans are coated aluminum, which consist of deep 10" w/Lid, 6" saute w/lid, 2qt soup w/lid & 2qt teapot most all nested sort-of, Jenga is involved. Our factory pan holders are tucked away beneath the slid out rack on our 2022 R27OB , as we narley use them. We use the splash guard all the time, as well as the pizza brick in the oven with an freestanding anaolg oven temp guage, and a compact cookie sheet.
