This is a "thumbs up" to RANGER. STELLA just got back to her dock at the south end of LK Washington. We left July 22 from Lk Washington and joined the Desolation Sound armada a few days later. After we arrived at Gorge we broke off from the group and explored Desolation for several days. Then we met a couple who were going to the Broughtons and off we went. They loved to explore and stay on the hook so we were a match. After many adventures in and out of different lagoons our turn around spot was Port McNeill at the north end of Vancouver Island.

Our RANGER proved to be a first class ride and got a lot of attention, especially north of Desolation. We were told that RANGER was not a common sight up there.Total mileage for this trip was 1241 miles. Met a lot of people and talked to as many boaters as possible about their experiences. Next year will try to leave here no later than the middle of June for a run to Bella Bella. Several other Ranger owners have expressed an interest in this area so we are in the planning stage already. Big Chinook are also running in July and August so that is a bonus besides the bears, eagles, orcas, whales, etc. And don't forget the oysters and clams for the picking! Should mention here that just north of the Pender Harbour (around the corner from customs) on the way south we were literally surrounded by Orcas. Minimum count would be 35 to 40 but there were possibly more. We truly live in a boating paradise.

Jim, you have really pushed my envy button! Barb and I simply must take BLUE MAX up there next year. We've already set aside the time!
