I had my boat out for 2 weeks. No problems at all. Now it's on the trailer in the driveway. 3 days ago I made sure it was plugged in and the fridge was working. That means the 12V system is operating. I'm planning a 3 day trip to Bowen Island, Keats and Gibsons with some family. We'll be leaving tomorrow. I went shopping and happily hopped onto the boat to store the food. The fridge was hot. None of the 12V lights come on when I turn on the switches. I know the battery is fine because it runs the house lights. They turn off when I turn off the house battery. Nice and bright. The charger is working. All AC systems running fine. Any ideas? I thought after 2 weeks on the high seas i had this little tub figured out bit I think it plans to keep me humble.

The easy answer is the breaker for the fridge is off .. Or broken or the temp adjustment in the fridge got turned off . Hopefully not broken fridge..
Good luck I hope it's easy

Just because your lights work does not mean you have enough power for the refrigerator. The refrigerator cuts out if the voltage gets too low. Are you sure the charger is on? Check your voltage. Also, as Irish Mist suggested check your breaker to the refrigerator and make sure it is on.

Good point I know my fridge doesn't work much below 12 volts.. Lights will work till the end..

I got it figured out. None of the 12V was working. No lights anywhere on the panel when I turn on the switches. I had put a jug of engine oil in the back compartment. It pushed up against the switch under the 4 big battery knobs and turned off the whole 12V system. I pushed reset and my world lit up. Thanks for your posts. I'm still new at this and making stupid mistakes.

These are not stupid mistakes. They are "teaching moments", which teach you....and by virtue of this forum, the rest of us...not to do that.

And to prove you are not stupid, you bought a tug! Very smart. Very smart, indeed.
