I'm a soon-to-be-owner of a 2013 Ranger 31CB, and am trying to track down any info - especially instructional manuals - on the electronics package that comes with the boat from the factory...any help to point me in the right direction would be much appreciated.

Prolly the Garmin 7000 series, likely a 7212. Is what came on my 2013 Cutwater.

While these no longer receive software support/updates, they are still solid units.
Do not rely on the built in base-map, it will be well out of date. So you will want to buy a current map card.

I agree. The nav equipment on the 2013 models is still perfectly good. I have the same era Garmin electronics on my current boat; just because the chartplotter isn’t getting software updates, GPS antenna, Radar, Autopilot all can be updated. I just did this today!
Go to the Garmin support website using a PC or laptop, put in the model of chartplotter, and download the updates onto an SD card (max size 32 GB). When you put the SD card with updates in the card slot on your chartplotter, make sure all the equipment is turned on so it will update if possible.
It’s best to use an empty SD card.
