Hello Bill on Lady Jane,
There is an R21 manual prepared by the factory see it here (viewtopic.php?f=7&t=225).
It is not specific to which engine. I obtained a Yanmar engine manual through one of their parts suppliers. I would expect Volvo would sell you one as well.
Electrical is covered a little in the Ranger manual. If you want wiring schematics, you will need to make your own. The wiring set up is straight-forward on the 21EC so that wouldn't be too difficult plus it would provide the added advantage of getting to KNOW your boat. You'll be ready to start your "mods" sooner 🙂
The "Ranger factory technical bulletins" section of the forum is interesting. Look here (viewforum.php?f=7) for it.

The Factory R-21 Owners Reference Manual is the Greatest. There are 3 Routine Maintenance Manuals that the typical DIY owner/mechanic also needs: (1st), A "Parts Manual" is required for direct access to part numbers and part breakdown diagrams. (2nd), A "General Maintenance Manual", to get a general description of the numerous systems and important servicing info with trouble shooting for each. (3rd), A "Wiring Diagram Manual" will have the factory original wiring diagrams and associated trouble shooting guides. There are several other Maintenance Manuals that cover overhaul & heavy maintenance (Engine, Transmission, etc). Does anyone know where or how to find any of the basic routine Maintenance Manuals? I've checked with Volvo Penta, West Marine, etc. Who Knows? BB+
