150A ANL thruster fuse--will cheap one work?

Does anyone know if I can use the $6 to $ 9 dollar fuse for my thruster? The marine type is $29. each from West M , Blue seas.
Any thoughts, Aisling
 
Probably not. If you have the Imtra SE (sidepower) type thrusters you can only use their sidepower fuses.
 
Looks like Ranger's price on that fuse is $9.30.
 
From my experience only use the fuse recommended by the thruster manufacturer. The previous owner of my boat had some after market fuses on board. Needless to say they did not hold up. When I switched to the Sidepower fuse I never had a problem.
