2 inch volvo penta display on CB not functioning

The 2' Volvo Penta display on the fly bridge is not functioning.
There is no display at all on the screen. This is causing, we believe, the yellow Volvo warning wreath to blink on the arm of the fly bridge throttle.
We have asked our selling dealer to come look at this. They thought the harness under the dashboard might be loose. They tightened it, but the problem continues. The overall operation of the boat is not effected.

However, it would be comforting to stop that blinking Volvo warning light and also to be able to stop the engine from the command bridge.

From my recollection these units have to be programmed to join the engine control system on install. Perhaps yours has lost its connection

Without further insights and guessing from a distance I would start with physical wiring. Then if it powers on look at making sure it’s connected to the Volvo system. Then just replacing the unit. I replaced one and it was very straight forward.
