After three months of shopping, I bought a 21EC from Don at Winter's Sailing Center. A blue hull which will be known as "Raven". I'd like to thank both Don and Jeff for tolerating my anal retentive questions. This summer it will experience Moosehead Lake in Maine, then parts of the ICW in North and South Carolina. Several years ago I sold my Loland trawler 52'. I don't think I ever had a yard charge for under $1,000. I trust things will be much different this time, not to mention slip charges, etc. I stepped down to a gaff rigged wooden sloop, which gives a much more intimate boating experience. The trailer ability of the 21EC opens so many boating venues, not available to larger boats. Eight or nine knots is just fime for an old sailer. I'll probably have lots of questions for you all along the way.

Best regards,

Sterling

Welcome aboard Sterling! My wife has broken the ice on Moosehead (as a kid) with one of the first swims of the short season! We've still got a place DownEast near Machias. Happy boating!

Congratulations! If you're like us, you will grow to like and appreciate your Tug more as time goes along. Have fun.

Sterling,

Excellent choice!

I am in the second day of my shakedown cruise on my new 21-EC and love it. It cruises along comfortably at 8 KTS, is a snap to moor and always draws a crowd of folks complimenting its lookvand inquiring about its features.

I even met a C Dory owner today here in the Blake Island marina who is a member of tugnuts, and says he wants to buy a Ranger tug!

Again, welcome aboard!
