Trying to chase down the plumbing for our 2010 fresh water head. No switches, fuse forward of the helm. The input pump seems to be located just forward of the house fresh water pump behind a bulkhead. Is the pick up for the pump in the fresh water tank? Last year I needed to put several gallons of “pink stuff” back into the fresh water tank before the pump would flush the “pink stuff” through. Any insight?

I have a 2011 R29.... There is no separate FW pump for the head. The water Tees off the cold fresh water line that serves the faucet in the head.

Bob,

Last year when we were winterizing the fresh water system I was trying not to put the pink stuff in the water tank. After emptying the tank disconnected the output of the freshwater pump fed the system with a separate tank with the pink antifreeze and flushed all the faucets. When we tried to flush the head it just ran dry. Called the factory asking how the head was plumed I was told it was fed by raw water. We knew it was fresh water but the boat was 9 years old and they didn’t seem to have any records of how it was built. Ended up adding 8 gallons of antifreeze to the fresh water tank before we could flush any antifreeze through the head. The fresh water pump was turned off and I was sitting next to the pump, with the hatch open, and
I could hear a pump running just forward of the fresh water pump behind a bulkhead.

I will check under the head sink to see if there is a line off of the cold water input to the faucet. There is a lot of stuff crammed into these boats and I can’t bend and twist like I used to so haven’t been able to trace all of the systems.
