2010 R25 SC "Check Engine" Alarm

So took the boat out last weekend with no issues.

Let her sit at the dock for a week and then started her yesterday. After running for 5-10 minutes, "Check Engine" alarm came on and stayed on.

Oil is ok, coolant is full (expansion tank is ok), water is coming out of the exhaust.

Oil pressure is as per usual, coolant temperature seemed a little low.

Today, just turning the key to ON before even starting the engine and the alarm is constantly on.

Unfortunately I cannot get a code, it is a single alarm. Any suggestions/thoughts?

Probably not your issue. If our boat sits for a week or more I’ll get the engine alarm after starting the engine. It will remain on forever if I let it. It’s caused because the oil pressure alarm is much quicker to react than the few seconds it takes to have the cold oil build pressure in the engine. I turn the engine off after 10 seconds or so and restart it. No alarm the second engine start. And no alarm for the rest of our cruise when starting the engine.
The alarm only happens that first start after sitting for a long time. I’ve come to expect the alarm and don’t worry about it.

PS: I also remember something that happened a few years ago that had a similar time frame to what you are experiencing. It happened a few times after the engine had been running about 10-15 minutes. Engine alarm went off and oil pressure gauge either fell to zero or maxed out at above 200 PSI. After shutting down I verified there was normal level of oil in the engine. The oil pressure sensor was failing intermittently. New oil pressure sensor fixed the problem. Lots of threads on reasonably priced options for a new oil pressure sensor rather than the $200 Yanmar sensor.
