2011 PNW Rendezvous

With the departure of David and Maureen Baker from the rendezvous, it leaves a big hole in the Bremerton get together. We had dinner with David last week and he is going to send us info on what has been planned so we will know where to pick-up. I am hoping that we can get together as a group and form teams to get where we need to go before it becomes too late. I would like to see someone come forward to be in charge. Any thoughts would be appreciated as Nita and I love the event and the people we meet. Herb and Willie Stark (New 27), Johnnie (of Red Ranger) and Kathy and Craig Wilson (New 29) have volunteered. Bob,
Thanks so much for stepping up with your voice. Laurie and I will jump in and help make this event happen. We stood next to David and Maureen for two years so we have a pretty good sense of how this event can happen. Heck, we started the conversation on this topic and the Bakers stood up and ran with the idea. We have single-handedly done events like this before and work well with others in doing a variety to special projects. The work is nothing new to us and we are pre-wired to helping out. The more hands, the easier the load. We have not been part of this conversation as we were waiting for our calendar to settle down for that time. But now, count us in and put us on the team.

We also are pre-wired to help out....Those of you who know Patrick know that to be true and that he is happiest when he has a job to do!!! We hesitated to step forward because it is difficult to stickhandle much from so far away - but I am more than willing to help out on the administrative end - making name tags etc.... and we of course will do anything required once we get there!!

Thanks for putting this back on the front page. Also, if anyone needs a room at the Hampton, please send us an email or contact us at 206-932-2450. We need to know as soon as possible how many rooms to reserve in order to get a discount.

We will not be available to return your call or email until Monday evening as we are on vacation in Mexico.

Nita and I are in PVR this week and I don't have my cell phone. We will be home on Sunday. I am looking forward to more requests for room reservations as it will be easier to negotiate a better rate. Please let me know if you are planning on attending and will need a room.

To Bob and Nita,

My wife Dil and I are planning to attend the Rendezvous. What are the fees? How do we register, etc. Planning to arrive Thursday Sep. 8th. We would like a room at the Hampton Inn for three nights. Do we make reservations on our own or do you folks handle that? We will be bringing "Hercules" our mighty R-21 from San Mateo, CA. (formerly Herb and Wilma Stark's "Willie's Tug"). Not much we can do to help out from here now but we'll gladly give you a hand once we arrive.
