2011 R27

Fresh Water pump runs non-stop.
A trickle at the head faucet.
A drip at the gally.
Tons of presser at the city water connector - when I remove the fitting (unscrew four screws) and pull the hose from the back (undo the hose clamp etc).
Plenty of pressure at the hot water heater.
Plenty of water flowing from the tank to the pump.
Pump is new.
Pump filter gasket is new.
No water leaking into bilge.
No change in water level.
No change when I open the water tank fill cap.

Any Ideas?

As I stated before I would confirm you have flow out of the faucets by removing the screens and cleaning them. Your post did not indicate leaks in the system or loss of water from the system. My thought is you need get good flow of water from the faucets to release all the air from the system. If the lines are full of air and it is trapped the pump pressure switch may not sense enough pressure to shut the pump off. You have stated that you have pressure and flow at low points the hot water tank and city water inlet but nothing at the faucets just a drip at the faucets. Clean the screens as a maintenance item. If you have pressure in the system, good flow to the pump from the tank, but no water at the faucets there is a restriction between the pump and the faucet. The easiest first check is the faucet outlet screen. Once you have good flow to the faucets the trapped air will be purged and the pump switch should activate and the pump shut off. Keep it simple check the easy stuff first.

Now that you have confirmed that the faucets are clean you want to move back to the pump. Pump filter Clean? Pump location below or at the water tank level? If the pump location is above the tank level it could become air locked. I have found this to happen after a winter drain and then summer commission. During the commission the pump is operating and pumping very little. I fill the tank to full level turn pump on and open all the faucets. I let the pump operate like this for 10 or 15 minutes. Eventually the air is all out of the system and the system functions properly.

I did have an experience similar to what you are having once. I was commissioning a 45' Carver Voyager. The boat sat on the hard for a couple of years. The water system was drained but water did lay in a few low spots in the lines. I was having a hard time getting prime and water flow. the pump continued to operate. I removes the faucet screens completely to elevate the screen from plugging again. (they were plugged badly) What I found was algae had formed in the lines from the lines being empty for the most part. water and air semi transparent water lines was the perfect storm. I repeatedly flushed the system with fresh water and a bleach mixture after a few days of treating it things started to break up and the flow was back.

Vent clear ?
filters clean?
Water lines clean?
Pump suction and discharge clear? Good pump suction?
Tank Full?
Sytem purged of air?
Faucet screens clean?

Water should flow if all above is a yes.

Thanks to everyone for all the help and ideas!

I ran through the system with an optic cable camera and found that the primary water line had a small leak where the hose was spliced - looks like something done recently, but before I purchased the boat. It was a quick fix and the pressure water is working great.

The $100 spent on the camera was worth it and I am keeping this in my toolbox from now on. Good for following hoses and wiring around the boat.
