2012 R29 Classic Sedan Trim Tab Actuators

Recently took a short cruise aboard our 2012 Ranger Tug 29 "Sunny Tug". We whacked something and damaged the hydraulic trim tab actuators on the starboard trim tab.

I need the manufacturer and model number of the trim tab actuators. If someone has this info it would be greatly appreciated. I would like to order and have the part in hand before we haul the boat for the repair.

I went to Ranger Tug parts and asked the same question. The standard answer they seem to have for older model boats is: "I do not have anything going back that far", which to me is a surprising answer.

I would say you have Bennett trim tabs. If you call Bennett they will tell you how to determine what actuator you need. Basically all they will need is the length. Here is a link to their site. You can get their contact number there as well.

On our 2012 R29 we have Bennett trim tabs. The actuator is model number A1101A. This can be verified on yours by the number of rings at the lower end of the actuator. Ours has four rings.

Tom thanks for the helpful reply. I too have the four ring Bennett actuators and have ordered the model you indicated. Hopefully will get them mounted next week.
