Over this past weekend I opened my engine hatch to check fluid levels. The hatch opened normally to about 30 degrees but no further 'tho I could hear a bit of noise indicative of it attempting to do so. I was able to open the hatch manually but my wife had to hold it open while I did my inspection. Does anyone have any troubleshooting advice? Thank you.

Hi Albert it is Dave Turner, at this time of year I'm all over the place so have a hard time answering tug nut replies. The reason why is that you have two trim tab pistons on each side of the boat and they are all the way down and are using most of the fluid from the pump. If you bring your tabs up you will be open the hatch.

My cell is 1-250-720-1376 please call me anytime

Thanks Dave. I will give it a try and report the result. So the trim tabs and the engine hatch pistons share the same reservoir of hydraulic fluid?

I adjusted the trim tabs and the hatch operates normally. Thank you, Dave.
