2014 CUTWATER 28 ENGINE ACCESS

I am considering the purchase of a 2014 C28. Access to the front of the engine is very limited. How do owners gain access to service belts, alternator, water pump, etc.? Thanks in advance for any comments...

Just inside the cabin door is a floor panel. Raise it and you have the access that you asked about.

Thanks for the response. I did look under the cabin sole access panel just inside the cabin door. I see sound insulation and a dividing panel that separates the engine area from this under floor compartment. Do I remove this divider to gain access to the front of the engine?

Probably similar to my '15 C26 the stair set leading down to the cave can be removed with a few screws to access the water pump for example.

If you plan on doing the engine maintenance yourself, the most important thing to have in your tool box - "a skinny grandson".

On my 2019c28 there is not a panel separating the front of the engine from the area under the cabin. I open the floor panel as described earlier and I can access the front of the engine showing the alternator, belts, and impeller access.

Thanks for the input. It looks like, at least on this boat, the divider between the engine compartment and the access inside the cabin door would need to be removed.
