The 2014 Defender Warehouse sale is Thursday, March 27 through Sunday, March 30. I plan to go on Friday, March 28. Is anyone else planning to go?

The website online sale starts on Wednesday, March 26 at 2PM EDT.

We gave up on them a few years ago. Have found no really great deals unless it is a large purchase and the service has been just terrible. You can get the same deals shopping online. We switched to the smaller marinas sale days and have to say, the service is much better and the paint prices are cheaper than Defender. The only reason we would consider going is the raffle, but lets face it, Odds of winning, not very good. Spicers in Noank has a sale this weekend and Petzolds in Portland CT next weekend. Petzolds also has several venders and opens the showroom up.

I've only ordered online in the past during Defender's Warehouse sale however my experience was completely different then Mysticals. We found the service to be very good, prices better then usual and if they were out of a popular item they'd communicate this to you, give you the option of waiting for the product until they were restocked so they could ship it out at no additional shipping cost or price. At any rate thanks for the heads up about the sale Howard.

I guess I should have been more specific about the service though. Long and short of it, we were in the market for a small runabout and were looking at center console ribs, We went in on a Saturday during boating season and asked to see a few, He took a look at us and said we needed to make an appointment to see them. He suggested we do that and return the following week. Meanwhile, there were about 8 people working the floor and only two other customers in the store. Nothing ticks me off more than terrible customer service. 😀

Yeah, nothing pisses me off more than poor customer service. I found that Defender runs hot and cold. I needed my dingy repaired once and the initial guy I spoke to was a bit rude and acted as if he was doing me a favor. I asked to speak to a manager and the manager was apologetic that it would take a while to get it fixed and then gave me the name of another repair shop that might be able to help me and I went there and it worked out. On another occasion they screwed up an order and were so apologetic they gave me a severe discount.
Having been in my own business I was always appreciative when a customer informed me of a bad experience and that enabled me to correct the problem. Many times it is an individual attitude more than a company attitude. Sounds like I may have initially gotten the same guy as you Brian. Hopefully he is no longer there!

I have made many purchases from them over the years but always online, some were custom overs, splicing services etc. Have had nothing but the best service. Bought the Torqeedo last year during the warehouse sale, that knocked off quite a bit off the price!

I live in Utah so there is no way to visit the warehouse.
In defense of them, I have bought on-line and always have a correct and timely delivery.

The sale starts in a few days. I still plan to go on Friday. They have posted an extensive list of vendors that will have reps on site during the sale.
