My 2018 R29 is NMEA 2000. NMEA2000 is the newer standard.

Hi!

NMEA 2000 would be much easier to install, it is just a quick connection. With NMEA 0183, you would need to individually connect the wiring embedded in the NMEA wiring (e.g. transmit (+/-), receive (+/-).
