While pumping up my dinghy using an electrical pump with the 12v cord plugged in at the port outlet under the dinette table, I lost power. Checked fuse in head area. Nothing obvious wrong. Any troubleshooting suggestions? I tried another device in the outlet and it didn’t work either. Also, is there another 12v outlet?

On our 2021 model, there is a 12V outlet under the berth sink on the front of the cabinet tucked in behind where the shower curtain falls. Next to the 120V outlet.

One of our 12v outlets stopped working, and when I removed it I found that one of the wires had simply come loose from the back of the outlet (not crimped well at the factory).

I'd check that first, then check the power with a multimeter to see whether it is the outlet or the supply.

Electric pumps draw a lot of current. My pump draws almost 25 amps. I’d suspect you tripped the GFCI on your outlet. Hit the reset.

As for pumping boats, I made an extension cord that plugs into the Scotty Downrigger plug as it can handle 30 amps. Get a Marinco plug and wire it for your pump.

I experienced a similar issue one day when I plugged in an old school 12v hand-held spotlight (not LED). It worked for about 10 seconds and then went dark. I checked the outet with a cell charger and found no power. This is after I used the outlet under the sink with the same spotlight while replacing the shower pump float switch without issue. I did not have a test lamp available to easily test the fuses. The fuse for the outlet under the table looked good. I removed it and looked closer, still looked good. I had a spare so I replaced the fuse and power was retored at the outlet. No sign of damaged wires. I decided to retire the old spotlight and purchased a Ryobi 18v spotlight to add to my drill and vacuume kit.
