I thought it would be fun to discuss what everyone is using to keep their boats in ship shape. For me, spring is time to wax my red hull, detail, service engine, and get the boat looking and feeling like new for the boating season.

Here’s are some things that I’m using, and mostly enjoying right now:

Maguires Cleaner Wax is great for me if I keep up on it. My boat it small so it goes quick with a dual action polisher. I go over the boat once with cleaner wax and do a final coat of Collinite 845 Insulator Wax.

303 Multi Surface Cleaner is great for cleaning up footprints and spot messes.

Bar Keeper’s Friend is great for rust stains and cleaning the stainless.

Nevr Dull wadding for polishing/maintaining stainless.

Torqx Dual Action Polisher works great. It’s light, and cheap enough to not cry over if I accidentally drop it overboard.

I’ve been using Chemical Guys Mr. Pink soap for washing in my driveway. Works pretty well, but I don’t think it’s biodegradable. I’m going to discontinue.

The EWK oil extractor from Amazon works great for changing engine fluids. I’ve never hooked it up to a compressor; I’ve only pumped by hand.

Costco’s yellow microfiber towels are hard to beat. I think they’re branded as Maquires.

CRC heavy duty corrosion inhibitor works wonders.

I do not have a good canvas cleaner or nonskid cleaner yet.

My boat doesn’t have much teak, I go over everything with teak oil a couple times a year.

What are you guys using and enjoying to keep things ship shape?
