I notice a blue light shining from this antenna. No need for it to be powered, is there a fuse somewhere for this. The power to tv is disconnected. It draws very little, but was hoping to power it off. Thank Dan

It's powered from a box located in the back of the hanging closet. There's a piece of monkey fur on a board. 2 screws to remove it and you'll find where it's powered from.

Thanks will look into it tomorrow. Finished changing shift cable for kicker today, not much fun. So will look for monkey fur tomorrow.

i have that same question too...i found the fuse for it but i think that takes out other things too..

i have not been able to find that access panel that was described..will keep looking

it seems to be there should be a better solution versus having that light run 24/7 ..other posts have described adding a switch once you find that access panel.

let me know what you come up with.

thanks

In this picture of the closet. Remove the life jackets. Look above. You'll see a piece of monkey fur covered board that creates a hiding spot. Take your cell photo, set it to flash always on with a timer to take a picture in 10 seconds. Stick your phone under it to grab a picture. The picture of the Majestic unit is what you'll see.

There are two square drive screws that hold that monkey fur board in place at the top of the closet in the back. Take that off for easy access behind there.

Simply unplug the Majestic unit to make the blue light go dark. Also note, the blue light uses very little power.

With everything powered off, refrigerators turned off... Things that stay running, the USB lights, the Nema2k bus, the TV antenna, the Webasto controls, bilge pumps, the propane sensor... All combined it's less than 12 watts.

Thanks again Martin. Using your pic as a guide, simply reached up and unplugged. Might be a little more difficult to plug back in, but I watch very little tv so not a problem.Currently have charger off, boat is plugged in, and solar is keeping up. Prior to unplugging and with charge and solar off, was seeing parasitic draw of 6 watts, which is pretty good. Will see how much lower it is this evening. Boat in driveway, and can monitor from inside the house.

I'm curious why you were changing the kicker shift cable on a boat less than two years-old.

I've got the same year R27OB and my kicker shifter is getting very hard to move. I haven't really done any significant troubleshooting yet, but I attributed it to the number of small radius bends that are in the cable, particularly the last one at the motor.

It was changed because it was almost impossible to put into gear. It got bent near motor end. Cause I think was the bends were too tight and with motor going left and right and up and down. I shortened the rigging tube about 8 inches which allows new cable to exit tube with a less severe bend to where it attaches to motor. I bought a 12 foot Glendenning cable to replace the original, shifts easily now. I could not move the old shift cable by hand with it stretched out straight on the ground.

As for the TV antenna power draw, looks like 5 watts. Not much. Battery BMS was showing 4.5-6.5 watts draw with antenna powered. After disconnect draw down to less than 1 watt. Which is great. Only things powered up that I am aware of is the little charger plugs and their blue lights and the propane alarm.
