Why is the large heat vent in the stateroom and a much smaller heat vent in the salon that is filled with wonderful windows that let in the cold?
On cold days, the stateroom overheats while the salon never gets warm. The only solution I have figured out is a length of 3.5" diameter heating duct. Take the vent cover off the stateroom vent, shove the duct into the vent, secure with shoe. put the other end of the duct in the salon, secure with other shoe. Now the stateroom gets almost no direct heat and the salon gets much more, which works great. This is a finicky system and just barely touching the shoe in the salon means the duct snaps back into the stateroom and needs to be re-setup. Are there better ways to distribute more heat to the salon than the stateroom?

Other, related heat issue is that if you close the stateroom door/lid for the night (which I prefer not to do, but sometimes needs to be done in a marina), the stateroom gets so much hotter than the salon and than in the cave where the Webasto thermostat is, that you have to set the thermostat to 59 degrees or so to keep from overheating the stateroom, while still getting some heat through the night. Is there a way to have a Webasto thermostat sensor in the stateroom?
Thanks,
-Carrie
