Still enjoying my 2008 21' Red Current. Just replaced the starting battery; got to wondering about something I've
never figured out. How are these things sequenced? My starting battery is on the starboard side with most of the
wiring going to it. The deep cycle house battery sits beside it on the port side with just 2 leads and a cross ground.
Does this mean they always work together for starting and house functions? Or are they somehow separate functionally?
Also, if the starting battery poops out as just happened, can I cross connect the two positive terminals with a short
cable to "jump" start the engine in an emergency?
Thanks; cheers, Bruce Rhodes
