Waiting for my new boat and dreaming about this summer cruising. Noticed the nice steps into the cockpit and other similar areas. Is any of this accessable for storage? Has anyone added access hatches to the hull liner to provide additional storage. Does anyone know what is under those steps? Add things like cockpit coaming boxes like we have on sail boats?
Thanks
John

Hello John,

I have circular hatch covers ready to be installed in those steps. When I pulled the fridge for a different project, it appeared the space inside the step was open. Installing the hatch covers is a winter project.

Cutting the v-berth cushions in two makes the forward storage more accessible since you don't have to move so much to get to it. You can do that little mod when you get around to adding some memory foam to the berth to improve the comfort.

Congrats on the new boat...WHEN is she arriving?

Fair Winds,

Thanks, I will do the same. Boat should arrive early in the new year. But can't get it wet until the water softens in May.
What about the step at the rear bench seems to go the full lenght of the cockpit? I assume the Port and staboard side step is the same? Send pictures when you can.
John

Hi John;
Congratulations on the purchase of your boat. You made a good decision. We love our 21. Best boat we have ever had.
We are only a short drive down from Cambridge (St. George). If you like come and have a look at our 2008 21EC to get some ideas, we would be more that happy to make some time. Send me a PM when you have a chance.
Cheers,
Gregg
