27-OB + Hot water - how?

I've never actually turned on the hot water on Hula Girl.

Alas, I tested positive for COVID a few days ago, and I'm camping out on the boat to spare the family for a few days.

I have a full freshwater tank. Is it as simple as flipping the breaker while on shore power? No other valves, dials, cutoffs?

Yep turn the breaker on while on shore power and give it an hour or so.

Make sure there's water in the hot water tank. Then flip the breaker on the AC panel and wait about 90 minutes. You can tell that it's done heating all 6 gallons by looking at the amp meter on the AC panel. When you turn on the hot water heater breaker you'll see the amp meter go from close to 0 to 10amps. Once the tank is fully hot it'll drop back to close to zero.

Aside from a blockage, is there a valve or another reason there should NOT be water there after a fill of the freshwater tank?

Turn on hot water at faucets.....fresh water pump should bleed air from HW tank and lines...then turn on heater.

My hot water heater is in the starboard locker in the cockpit. You should see a coldwater blue pex leading to the intake connection (top) and a red pex leading out from the bottom connection. I think the hot water heater tank naturally will fill up when you turn on the water pump. There is also a drain on the tank which you can check to verify there is water in the tank.
