I'm looking at purchasing a 29 or 31 CB new. Question is how do I know if I'm getting a good deal one one? With cars and trucks I can visit other dealers. Would the process be the same? Do some dealers discount more than others? Is there a better time of year to buy?
Any information would be great. Would hate to find out later I spent 30k to much lol.

Btw I did get a quote on a 29 CB for 279k as the "boat show price".
Does that sound right?

Hi Bobby,
Talk to Tommy Gaston at Seagate Marine, he has two new 31CB in stock at a great price. Seagate is no longer a dealer but he will back any issues on any boat he sells. I've known the Gastons for a long time and you won't find a more honest and thoughtful person and dealer. The 31CB would be our choice if we were moving up. Good luck with your search.

Hi Tim and Donna!

Thank you for the info. I will call him first thing in the morning.

We bought a 2014 R31CB used from Seagate and service was great. We visited St. Pete Boat show and compared many R and and Cutwaters. Edgewater Yacht sales folks were great. We bought used from Gaston due to closer location and great deal. 31-29 I love the helm door on the 31, it allows single handing the boat! New 29 does not have. Not sure I would pay extra for CB or 3rd helm in cockpit, rarely use.
