Looking for opinions on having a command bridge verses the sedan on a 31. I cruise in Puget Sound, so have PNW weather. The command bridge doesn't seem like it provides much benefit in the way of space to congregate, so I'm curious if folks see much benefit to having one in this region. What other considerations should I be aware of?

We have had the 31 CB for three seasons in the Puget Sound and beyond. I have been surprised these past three summers how many sunny cruising days we have had and it is a great spot on those days for taking in the full cruising experience with great visibility of marine life, shore scenery and sea traffic. It is also by far the best vantage point for dock maneuvering. That said it is not a party deck for more tbhan two.

I just got off the 31S at the Annapolis Boat Show not 2 hours ago. The rep there told me that the 2016 31CB will have 2 inward-facing bench seats behind the forward-facing bridge bench seat - making room for 6 up there (?). Solar panel and gear rails moved aft over now-standard extended hard rear deck top. I've not yet been on a Ranger Tug underway (just looking) - would that be a bit much weight up top for a 31-footer?
