A few shots of our most recent trip on the sound plus a couple extra fishing shots from earlier. Last installment for a while. In July we're moving back to Anchorage (from Wasilla) which will impinge on the boating season.
Here are a couple of critters that my bride caught on the second trip this year.
A nice sized octopus. I'd estimate it weighed about 10 lbs. We sometimes catch smaller ones in shrimp pots.
And a nice sized ling cod. Which isn't a cod at all but I assume most of the PNW folks are familiar with them.
Trip 4: June 21-26
Some proper PWS weather to start the trip. Calm, cold, and wet as we transited Culross Pass.
Just a shot from an anchorage.
Low tide makes from interesting photos. I love it when the golden colored sea weed is exposed. Note the eagle in the top of the tree.
We went up into Port Nellie Juan to collect some ice. A view of the glacier in the distance.
Deep Water Bay
More tidal waterfalls.
I finally caught something too.
Home away from home.
