Was back at boat today to clean up after late night watching fireworks on the lake and noticed a few drops of oil on top of the turbocharger heat shield on the Yanmar 4BY2-180.
No evidence of leakage into the bilge, but removing the air filter assembly revealed some oil in the turbo intake, and some oil blow-by around the bracket for what looks like a silver toned metal sensor attached to the turbocharger unit near the air filter. No evidence of leakage underneath the turbo assembly and oil level is still normal.
Any ideas?
Thanks in advance,
Bill
